Ultra Music Festival 2020 may be canceled, but thousands from around the world are still heading to Miami this March as scheduled to take advantage of their flights, hotels, airbnbs, and the beautiful Miami sun. Thus far, all pool party event curators have confirmed the pool parties are still on for both Miami Music Week and what was Ultra weekend. Since the pool parties take place on private hotel property, these parties will not be shut down. They can close down the festival, but the party continues! Here’s your guide to the best pool parties to attend Friday through Sunday:
Friday March 20th: Kaskade Pool Party
Location: SLS South Beach
Time: 12PM to 11PM
Consistently ranked as a Top 100 DJ and having been voted America’s Best DJ several times, Kaskade is a staple in the electronic music scene. The dynamic electro and progressive house producer is well-known for his amazing events and as a headliner at the largest events around the world including Ultra, Tomorrowland, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Coachella. Friday March 20th: All Day I Dream

All Day I Dream started off as a rooftop party in Brooklyn that evolved into a global phenomenon known for its unique aesthetic and dedication to immersive experiences that combine music and art. Last week, All Day I Dream announced a highly-anticipated worldwide tour which includes a stop at Miami Music Week at the luxury 1 Hotel in South Beach. In a collaboration with Insomniac Events, All Day I Dream in the beautiful oceanfront location blends well with the dream-like escape that All Day I Dream provides when combined with melodic beats of house and techno. Friday March 20th: Nora En Pure Presents Purified

Nora En Pure will be taking over the pool at the oceanfront location of the Shelbourne Hotel in a collaboration with local Miami hotspot Club Space and the curators at Insomniac. The beloved Swiss DJ, known for her entrancing deep house music, will be showcasing her weekly radio show Purified for Nora En Pure Presents Purified. Friday March 20th: Magdalena Presents Shadows
Location: National Hotel
Time: 2PM to 11PM
German DJ Magdalena Solomun, better known as Magdalena, will be taking over the infinity pool at the waterfront National Hotel for Magdalena Presents Shadows. Shadows is a series of parties that began Cova Santa in Ibiza and later throughout Europe that features Magdalena and a special guest for each show. Together with event curators Seven Lines Group, Magdalena will be taking the stage alongside Hosh, Audiofly, Oona Dahl, Bryan Estefani, and special guests to be announced. For tickets, head here.
Friday March 20th: Repopulate Mars Pool Party
Location: Kimpton EPIC Hotel
Time: 12PM to 11PM
As part of the weeklong series of events held at Kimpton EPIC Hotel in Downtown Miami, the renowned label Repopulate Mars founded by Lee Foss will be returning to Miami Music Week for Repopulate Mars Pool Party. Alongside Lee Foss, other artists include MK, Latmun, Prok/Fitch, Ben Sterling, Detlef, Huxley, Kaysin, Martin Ikin, Natalia Roth, Rossi, Mason Collective, Richy Ahmed, and John Summit. Fame record label Armada Music is back for a bigger than ever pool party for Miami Music Week this year. Taking over the pool at the National Hotel for an oceanfront event, Armada Invites will be featuring performances by several artists from their label including Arty, Cat Dealers, Cedric Gervais, Clement Leroux, Goldfish, Mark Sixma, and several others to be announced. Saturday March 21st: Dada Life Presents Rave Spa

Collectively known as Dada Life, the Swedish duo is making their way from Stockholm to the beaches of Miami in a takeover of Shore Club for Dada Life Presents Rave Spa. Located at the beautiful beachfront pool at Shore Club in Miami’s South Beach, the ‘Rave Spa’ concept will be far more energetic than relaxing as the electro house group brings the very best in dance beats to Miami Music Week. As part of the pool party series hosted at Kimpton EPIC Hotel, the Desert Hearts crew will be collaborating with the Epic Pool Party team for an exclusive showcase. Located in the heart of Miami, EPIC Hotel is only one mile to Bayfront Park where Ultra Music Festival is held. Overlooking the Downtown Miami skyline from the sixteenth-floor pool deck, the creators of Desert Hearts Festival will be bringing their talents to the Sunshine State. Luciano, the Chilean-Swiss producer that cultivated the underground electronic music scene in Chile, will be heading to South Beach for a day-to-night party at the luxury 1 Hotel. Luciano is a five-time winner of DJ Awards well-known for his house and techno blends influenced by Latin American music, creating a perfect vibe for a daytime pool party. Luciano & Friends Pool Party will take place at the renowned Beach Club and will feature several artists alongside a performance by Luciano, which will be announced closer to the event date. Saturday March 21st: Spinnin’ Records Presents Spinnin’ Sessions

As part of the Spinnin’ Hotel Series, Spinnin’ Records returns to Miami Music Week for their fifth year. Taking over the pool at the Nautilus Hotel in the art-deco district of South Beach, this event has been one of the most popular over the years due to both the location and the talent that Spinnin’ Records brings to their events. American producer and DJ Green Velvet is partnering with Insomniac and Miami’s own underground electronic music even curators Link Miami Rebels for Green Velvet Presents La La Land. For those familiar with Green Velvet’s work, this even is appropriately named after his hit song “La La Land” that pays tribute to the thrill of endless partying. As a day-to-night party, Green Velvet is taking over the pools of the beachfront Shelbourne Hotel for eleven hours of house and techno for an epic party. Sunday March 22nd: Anjunabeats Pool Party

The legendary British trio behind Above & Beyond brings their label Anjunabeats to the beaches of Miami at Delano Beach Club. The label, which also doubles as a radio program featuring exclusive mixes, is well-known for its highly-anticipated events. Anjunabeats is partnering with Diskolab for a sensational event featuring several artists including Alpha 9, Anden, Gabriel & Dresden, Genix, Grum, Jaytech, Mat Zo, Oliver Smith, Sunny Lax, Yael, and a special guest b2b Moor Levi. Sunday March 22nd: ANTS Miami Music Week Closing Party

For the Miami Music Week official Closing Party, ANTS will be making its way over from Ibiza for this legendary event. ANTS is the famed party series that is showcased at Ushuaia Ibiza each summer and is well-known for its stellar production. As the official Closing Party for MMW and the finale for the National Hotel series, this event will be a hotspot for those that want to experience ANTS stateside. Shore Club is a beautiful oceanfront resort in Miami’s South Beach vicinity, making this event a perfect place to cool down in the Miami heat as Miami Music Week comes to a wrap. While Chris Lake is kicking off Insomniac’s event series earlier in the week on Wednesday for HARD Miami, the beloved DJ and producer will be closing out Miami Music Week with one last pool party. Located at the oceanfront Shelbourne Hotel in the art-deco area of South Beach, Chris Lake brings Chris Lake Presents Black Book in a collaboration with Insomniac and Space Invaders of famed Miami hotspot Club Space. Black Book is the record label founded by Chris Lake, which debuted as a coast to coast tour in 2018 called The Black Book Experience. Australia sister duo NERVO have been a world-wide sensation known for their upbeat music in a combination of progressive and electro house. For the final event in their three-day showcase, Spinnin’ Records is back for Spinnin’ Deep at the Nautilus Hotel in Miami’s South Beach. For the finale of the EPIC Pool Party series at Kimpton’s EPIC Hotel, Electric Ibiza and Jonathan Cowan Presents bring you Nothin’ But An Old School Pool Party. Located in downtown Miami within a mile of Ultra Music Festival, Kimpton features an elevated pool deck overlooking the Miami skyline from the sixteenth floor.
