Turn the volume up and strap in, Tampa Bay’s finest multi-instrumental producer, Evalution just dropped “Buss it” the contagious, high-energy track that pushes the wubs down your back into your knees, and leaves everything bouncing.
Music has been the one thing on the mind of Evan Cazes, better known as Evalution, since he was eight years old. After pressing the keys of his father’s grand piano for the very first time, his infatuation with music grew exponentially.
Cazes quickly took on other instruments such as guitar, bass, and drums, and he began to develop his musical style and personal tastes by learning to play songs from his early musical influences such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd.
His exploration within genres is what inspired the path to production back in 2018, allowing him to dive head first into uncovering his own experimental sound. Sticking to what started it all, there is always a taste of blues and jazz within Cazes discography, not allowing one genre to define his sound.
On “Buss it” you can see Cazes refined and resourceful production skills as he uses ping-pong plucks throughout the track that adds a mischievous and active element to the sound. The dense call-and-response pattern creates a bewitching effect that keeps the listener engaged throughout the length of the track.
Caze told us a little about what inspired the track in a recent press release saying, “I made this during a wave of inspiration for the bouncier stuff. As a fan first, I love the bounce-infused bass tracks. I think this has always been my style unknowingly, and I find that I incorporate my signature vibe into all of my tunes regardless of genre. BUSS IT got some insane crowd reactions when playing it during the last half of 2022, so I’m super stoked to finally be releasing this song.”
