The wait is over as Skrillex’s highly-anticipated track “Rumble” with Fred again.. and Flowdan was officially announced to be coming this Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
“Rumble” notoriously went viral after Fred again.. played the track in his wildly popular Boiler Room set and several artists have been playing and remixing the insane piece ever since.
Skrillex also recently cleared out his Instagram and shared a 42-second-long teaser full of music clips, including “Rumble,” with the mysterious title “QFF/DGTC.”
Skrillex sent the internet into a frenzy when he pulled out of Movement Detroit and Sunset Music Festival in May of 2022 citing he would be working on two new albums in the studio. If the release of “Rumble” is the beginning of music coming out off of these two new albums, it would give a look into the first solo Skrillex LP since 2014’s Recess.
Skrillex also made his US festival return in 2022 as the headliner replacing Fred again.. at Porter Robinson’s Second Sky in Oakland where he played a host of IDs and old favorites.
2023 is looking to be the year for a huge comeback for the pioneer of dubstep. Check out the official announcement of “Rumble” coming this week:
