Campers are rolling into the Empire Polo Club at this moment for the first weekend of Coachella 2022 and the announcements keep coming. Sunday headliners Swedish House Mafia (SHM) have confirmed two exciting collaborations with Absolut Vodka to celebrate the spirit’s tenth year of being the official vodka of Coachella.
The first is a custom cocktail known as the Paradise (Again) Paloma. The title is a reference to SHM’s debut album Paradise Again which will drop tomorrow, Friday, April 15.
The cocktail consists of Absolut Grapefruit vodka mixed with fresh-squeezed lime juice, ruby red grapefruit juice and a hint of soda water. The final ingredient is a garnish of Swedish Fish gummies, a rather cheeky homage to SHM.
The second is a livestream in the metaverse via Absolut.Land. Leading up to their performance Sunday night, users will be able to meet new people, win exclusive gear, and even find real tickets to Coachella while SHM’s album provides the soundtrack.
To cap off the comprehensive user experience, fans can order an at-home mixing kit for the new cocktail to try it themselves, and five purchasers will win tickets to Coachella 2023. Click here for more information.
Swedish House Mafia will perform on both Sundays of Coachella 2022: April 17 and 24, respectively. The booking is listed as “Swedish House Mafia x The Weeknd” and so the nature of how The Weeknd will contribute to the performance has yet to be seen.
