Meet Virtual EDC Discovery Project Finalist: Nick Ledesma

If Nick Ledesma is not on your playlist already, he most certainly will be after his set this weekend as part Insomniac’s EDC Virtual Rave-A-Thon. Hailing from the City of Angels, Nick Ledesma has skyrocketed as a DJ and producer that worked his way through the Los Angeles music scene playing in bars and at parties before securing his residency at popular venues Exchange LA and Academy LA. Since the age of 18, Nick continued to hone his talent while producing music and playing with some of the greats including Illenium, Said the Sky, Alesso, Seven Lions, Tritonal, Jauz, and many others at local venues.

As a nightclub resident and now on the EDC virtual lineup, Nick Ledesma is a DJ to watch over the next few months. Nick is known for his smile and positivity, which he directly interjects into his music by creating dance tracks that are uplifting and energetic. Whether on stage playing sets or in the studio creating a new track, he enjoys creating captivating melodies that build to an attention-grabbing drop. As a prior guitar and piano musician, Nick excels at incorporating chords and synths that create a perfect dance beat. His overall style incorporates future bass with melodic dubstep that elevate your mood complete with emotive basslines and beautifully crafted melodies.

Some of you may be very familiar with his remixes including Galantis “Mama Look At Me Now,” Tritonal “Love U Right,” and “Rapture” featuring Austin Leeds among plenty of other incredible mixes. A common trend with music created by Nick is his ability to put fresh twists and energy into songs that culminate into inspiring drops that exude positive vibes from start to finish. To date, Nick has created singles with labels Future Bass XO, Proximity, and Lowly Palace. His song “Surrender” featuring Natalie Major has earned over one million plays worldwide. Back in March, Nick released his highly anticipated first EP titled “Believe.”

With 2020 already being a huge year for Nick, he also was selected by Insomniac to play at the virtual EDC Las Vegas this weekend as part of the EDC Discovery Project. Last week, artists submitted entries for the chance to be selected as a headliner. Nick was one of the artists that was announced this week. In the past, Nick has played at Nocturnal Wonderland, Beyond Wonderland, and EDC Las Vegas for the first time this past year.

Stay tuned this weekend to catch an epic set by Nick Ledesma on Sunday at 10:30PM where you have the chance to vote for his set. In the meantime, check out his latest EP here!
