Insomniac’s biggest New Year’s festival makes its return once again. Since 2015, Countdown NYE has taken over the NOS Event Center in San Bernardino. It is the largest New Year’s celebration on the West Coast, with thousands of attendees every year.
This year, the outer-space-themed festival will consist of two music-filled nights alongside an alien atmosphere ready to take ravers to another planet.
The theme of the festival follows a story about a place called Raveland, where aliens plan to attack at the strike of midnight. The venue is completely decked out in galaxy-themed art installations and decor. There are also alien performers that roam the festival grounds and interact with guests.
In addition to the music, festival attendees have a number of fun activities to do around the venue. There will be rides, a massage parlor, a nail salon, various food & shop vendors, an alien red-light district, and tons of photo-op locations.
As of today, Countdown NYE is approximately 85% sold out. 2-day GA tickets are 80% sold out and 2-day GA+ & VIP are 85% sold out. Single-day tickets for Friday are 85% sold out and Saturday is completely sold out. Tickets are available to purchase here. You must be 18+ to buy Countdown passes.
Spread throughout the venue are 4 stages filled with high-energy music. The main stage, The Mothership, will host artists like Galantis, Zhu, deadmau5, and Vini Vici. The Nebula stage, hosted by Audiotistic, will be taken over by artists such as Jauz, Flosstradamus B2B Valentino Khan, Tchami, and ARMNHMR.
If you’re looking for bass music, look no further than Area 51, where Riot Ten B2B SayMyName, Sullivan King, and Virtual Riot will bring the heat. If bass music is not your cup of tea, enjoy sets by Eli Brown, Matroda, and Green Velvet at the Twilight Zone.
